Brief Storyline

Basically the video is following someone from getting up to leaving the house. Apart from some pretty sexy dancemoves in the chorus none of the moves or the storyline have anything to do with the lyrics of the song, mainly because they're rubbish.

inspiration......

Still not quite sure what song to do. I've gt 3 ideas for videos and whatever one i chose i'll encorporate the other ideas into it. I've started choroegraphing a dance to the Take That song, with the idea for the video being that my friend is dancing through his daily routine along to the song. Part of the reason i wanted to do a bit of choreography is a remembered seeing a really interesting video over christmas. It's taken me a while but i found out who it's by - and you can see it if you click on 'the million ways dance' on the left of this page -

Choosing the song

Took choosing the song for the video a little too seriously. Had a massive list of songs i wanted to do and kept changing my mind. Half the songs i wanted to do already had videos i liked more than my ideas so i didn't wanna do one of them. i came up with a shortlist -

Had loads of ideas for effects and things i wanted to include in my video but i really couldn't decide which song i could use for them. Watched a lot of Michel Gondry videos and i loved all the imagination in his work, was looking at Spike Jonze aswell and i liked the sense of cool in a lot of his stuff and i also watched a few libertines videos (Time for Heroes/Don't Look Back into the Sun) and like the way they were kinda rough and intimate and you get a sense of the band from them. I decided i wanted to try and get as many different styles and influences into my first video. I aslo wanted to try a bit of choreography in the video. I kept listening to the songs above thinking of how i could get all the things i wanted in but because i liked all the bands i had too many preconcieved ideas of them that were a bit inhibiting. Then my flatmate put her Take That greatest hits on really load next door and i just suddenly started getting loads of ideas for it. By the 3rd listen and by the time me and my flatmate had dancemoves worked out for the chorus i decide i had to do that song. All i know is it's Track 14 and the lyrics for the chorus go something like this ' heaven, sweet heaven' then something about 'on the wings of your love'. When i find the name of the track i'll post it up.

Found It!

The song is called 'i found heaven'. Still slightly tempted to use The Cribs - Hey Scensters! but probably will use take that. Here are the lyrics to it. The woahs are particularly good.
